Advanced search help
Advanced search allows you to tightly control which web pages or documents you get in your search results.
Enter different search terms using the search boxes provided:
- “with all of the words” will only return results that contain all the words in your search, but not necessarily together or in the same order.
- “with the exact phrase” will only return results which exactly match the phrase you type in the search box
- “with any of the words” will return results that match any one of the words in your search
- “without any of the words” will return results that do not include any of the words in your search.
Use the drop down menu “web pages last updated” to restrict your search to webpages or documents which where modified:
- anytime.
- in the last week.
- in the last month.
- in the last year.
- the number of results shown on a page
- whether or not the results show an extract from the webpage or document
- whether to sort the results by date or by relevance.
- Simple search offers a more general search
